The football season is in full swing, and coming off a down year last season with a record of 2-8, the Woodmen are going to be in attack mode this season trying to turn it around.

Brock Riddle, junior quarterback, discussed his expectations for himself and his team.

“My expectations for this season are to win as many games as we possibly can. We did not have the best season last year, but over the offseason and the summer, we have really grown as a team and a family, and I really think we can put something special together this year,” Riddle said.

Carter Campbell, senior tight end, talked about what he was most looking forward to this season.

“This season being my senior season is wild, and I am very excited to see what the team can put together this year. We have put the work in together this spring and summer, and I am excited to see it all come together. Overall, I am looking forward to just playing the game I love with my best friends and team. It is going to be a fun year,” Campbell said.

The Woodmen could not seem to put it together last year with a record of 2-8; however, the team believes they can drastically improve their record.

“Last year was a rough season, but I truly believe we can turn it around. Although we have a very hard schedule and are the smallest team in the Mid-State Conference, we have a lot of heart and a lot of grit. Our team works hard and will always leave it all out on the field. I love this team and can not wait to have some fun and win some games,” senior Aidan Crist, offensive lineman said.
