The parking pass rate has increased. What is it going towards?
Mr. Craig Bruns, assistant principal, directs the buses and cars, and he also helps make sure kids have purchased their parking passes.
“The students have gotten better at purchasing the passes, and I just think it is because they do not want to deal with the stickers or hearing it on the news,” he said.
Mr. Bruns said putting stickers on students’ cars helps increase parking passes, and he said he believes the idea is highly effective because students do not want to drive around with stickers on their vehicles instead of paying $20 for a year of parking.
“The students have realized that buying a pass is better than having a sticker placed on their vehicle because they are incredibly hard to remove,” Mr. Bruns said.
Students wonder where the money goes.
“The money goes back to the students actually and benefits them, like the parking lot that was redone,” Mr. Bruns said.
Mrs. Erin Arthur, attendance secretary, handles the parking passes
“The parking passes are purchased by doing a two-sided form that is in front of Mrs. Werner’s desk. After you answer your part and do a signature, your guardian must also sign a part of the form. The parking passes must be acquired before Labor Day,” she said.
