People have been wondering where to get their news with the upcoming election and sports starting up again.

News is an important part of getting information. Knowing where to go to get news is an even bigger part. There are many different places for news, but it differs depending on what type of news people need.  There are sports, world, and opinion, and all come from different sources.

One big news site for sports is ESPN. ESPN is probably the biggest sports website in the world. Their Instagram and Twitter is one of the most followed on both of the sites, and they do not just focus on one sport. They do all of them. ESPN has some of the most famous commentators in the world, such as Steven A Smith and former Dolphins wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. 

Bleacher Report is another big sports website. This is where a lot of people get their sports news. They have been able to create live events one of them being a golf match between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in 2018. 

One of the best world news sites is The New York Times. The New York Times is known for its editorial excellence in reporting the news. The New York Times is good for students because it is reliable and easy to access. The BBC is another huge world journalism site. 

The BBC is more focused on public service than on profit. When it comes to world news, people have to be careful because of bias. Bias is being in favor of or against something. Depending on what sites people go to, there can be extreme bias toward one side or the other.

Social media can be another big source of news. This is where most students get their news from. The main issue with getting all news from social media is there is a lot of fake news on social media. Some people will just post fake news trying to trick people or to make people laugh. 

There are also some local news accounts on social media in our high school. This can help find local news if that is something that people may be looking for. There are some sites, like Greenwood Student Council and Greenwood Barstool that are good for getting local news about the school.
