The price of tickets drives the need for great venues.

Different venues suit styles of music better than others. For example, typically a country concert suits an outdoor venue better than an indoor venue. A rock concert suits an indoor venue better. Indoor concerts create a more close-knit feeling while still having actual space around fans. Unlike outdoor concerts where if people sit in the lawn, they can be cramped with little room to move around. The downside to indoor venues is that prices are typically more expensive than outdoor venues because people can easily find cheap lawn tickets unlike indoor concerts where fans have to buy specific seats with only a certain number available.

Some of the most popular large venues in Indiana include Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, The Murat Theatre, White River Amphitheatre,and Ruoff Amphitheatre. Out of all of these, I have seen the best concerts at Lucas Oil Stadium. I have seen One Direction in 2015 while on their On The Road Again tour and Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour. Both of these shows were amazing, and Lucas Oil easily helped that.                                        

Lucas Oil is meant for famous artists, which typically means the concerts will be more expensive due to ticket demand, but that does not change the fact that the shows were amazing. 

On the other hand, outdoor venues like Ruoff and White River Amphitheatre have hosted amazing concerts like Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and 5 Seconds of Summer. The best concert I have seen at an outdoor arena is Louis Tomlinson during his Faith in The Future tour. The energy was amazing, and even though we were on the lawn, the venue was built perfectly to be able to see the artist and hear the music well. 

In my opinion, the best concert venues depend on the artist and their genre. I could never imagine seeing Taylor Swift at Ruoff; she is better suited for the largest venues in the state and easily fills them up. On the other hand, it would be impossible for smaller artists like Tate McRae to fill up Lucas Oil, which means she suits smaller venues better like the Murat Theatre. 

Overall because of the artist and the environment, the best indoor concert venue is easily Lucas Oil Stadium. 

But, the best outdoor venue is White River Amphitheatre. 

No matter the venue, concerts are amazing experiences, and everyone should go at least once in their lifetime.
