Video games aren’t just entertainment; they make memories.
Junior Anya Evans learned video games from her father and other family members. They love gaming in their family and make connections from playing games.
“My dad introduced me to playing video games because my family loves video games and he has a whole attic dedicated to his video games,” Evans said.
Freshman Lauren Marsh has played video games for a short time, but ever since she started, they have brought her joy and freed her from boredom.
“I’ve been playing video games for three years now because they teach me many things I didn’t know they could teach me. Also, they entertain me when I have nothing else to do,” Marsh said.
Sophomore Randolph Castillo started to enjoy playing video games at a very young age because family members showed him how much fun they could have. Video games have had a big effect on him throughout the years.
“Games affect me because they bring me joy and passion. I grew up on video games, and they remind me of fun times,” Castillo said.

Suarez Fermin plays his favorite video game, Call of Duty, when he needs to relax after a long day of school and work.
“Call of Duty War Zone is my favorite game to play because it’s really fun to win by killing and respawning into the game; it makes it so I never get bored,” Suarez Fermin said.
It doesn’t matter how often people play games; picking up on it is always fun. Evans is not into games as much as she used to be, but every time she does play them, she always has fun.
“When I play games, it’s really fun, but I just don’t play often. I usually play two or three times every few months. Even if I don’t play often, I still enjoy it,” Evans said.
There are many variations of video games, but finding the right one is key. Randolph is amused by playing his favorite game, Bloodborne.
“My favorite game is probably Bloodborne because I love the action and horror of it, it is also challenging sometimes, and I like that,” Castillo said.
