A relaxing afternoon in a cafe with a cold drink in hand is the perfect setting for studying and catching up with friends.
The Thirstea Boba Cafe fits this description perfectly.
The cafe is located on SR 135, and the drive there was one of the only downsides of my experience. It is not a far drive, but rather the cafe is located in an area that is frequently surrounded by condensed traffic.
Upon walking into the cafe, I was fairly impressed. It is clean and organized, and it offers several tables, a couch, and even games to play with friends.
At ThirstTea, there were more than 50 options on the menu, and each drink was customizable. Options, such as popping boba pearls and different jellies, can be added into drinks. The prices were fair and comparable to other drink and coffee shops in the area. Medium drinks cost $5, and large drinks were only $1 more.
I sampled several different drinks from Thirstea and was impressed with each one. The first drink I got was the Strawberry Milk Tea with boba. This one was definitely the most fun. The tea was sweet but not overly sweet and had small bites of fresh strawberries; however, the boba was not my favorite. It was chewy and had an interesting texture.
I then tried the Peach Tea, which was sweet and tasted more like the traditional sweet tea that I am used to, but again it also contained the boba with the interesting texture. I also sampled one of their smoothies, which was very sweet but also smooth with a perfect balance between the strawberry and banana flavor that I ordered.
I had a tie for first place out of all the flavors I tried. The Chocolate Creme Brulee Tea and the Dragon Fruit Tea with mango popping boba were my favorite. The Chocolate Creme Brulee had a rich flavor and tasted almost like a sweeter version of hot chocolate. The popping boba was my favorite part of the Dragon Fruit Tea and was a great improvement from the boba that I had previously tried.
Thirtea offers so many different options, that finding a drink I liked was an easy thing to do, with the hardest part being deciding which one to get.
However, the service at Thirstea is what stands out the most. When I walked into the store, I was warmly greeted by the cashier. The cashier then walked me through the menu, describing drinks to me and answering all of my questions regarding their different flavors. I was also offered small samples of the drinks that I could try before purchasing one.
Overall, I was impressed by my experience at Thirstea and definitely recommend giving it a try.
