It has been a long road trip, and there are still multiple hours left. Everyone is hungry and wants to stop and stretch their legs. Everyone feels a sigh of relief when they see Buc-ee’s at the next exit. Soon there will be a Buc-ee’s opening up down the road. 

Buc-ee’s hopes to open its first Indiana location in 2028. The company plans to purchase 28 acres of land near Interstate 65 and E. Worthsville Rd. The construction is expected to take two years to complete. 

My favorite part about Buc-ee’s is the food selection. It does not matter what time of day we stop because there is always going to be snacks I am craving. My personal favorite is the Texas Round-Up station in the middle of the store where they cut their fresh meat and have homemade Beaver Tots and Beaver Chips. 

If we stop in the morning, my favorite is the brisket breakfast burrito with Beaver Tots. For lunch and dinner, I am choosing the brisket sandwich with the homemade Beaver potato chips.

 I love to get a few snacks for the road as well. I love their famous banana pudding that comes in a to-go container or even their edible cookie dough. I always go over to the candy section and pick out a bag of gummy candy that is the Buc-ee’s brand. It is a little more expensive than regular brands, but it comes in a large bag and is significantly better. I am not the biggest beef jerky fan, but Buc-ee’s also has a full wall of their own fresh-cut beef jerky with all kinds of exotic flavors. 

After I pick out all of my snacks, I go over to the drink stations. Buc-ee’s has coolers filled with water, lemonade, teas, etc. But, they also have a large fountain drink station and coffee bar. Buc-ee’s has Coke products but also their own brand of soda. My favorite is Buc-ee’s root beer or diet cola. There is also the option to add creamers, sweeteners, and other flavors to spice up the drink. I am not the biggest fan of coffee, but each time we go my mom makes herself a personalized coffee and always raves about how perfect it is and how many options there are. The only downside is that there are no Pepsi products at Buc-ee’s, but I think there are more than enough options for everyone. 

Not only do I love the food and drinks at Buc-ee’s, but I also love their apparel. I currently have the Christmas and Fourth of July Buc-ee’s shirts, and I love them. My whole family has at least one item of a Buc-ee’s souvenir because there really is something for everyone. My brother loves their pajama pants because they are so comfortable. Not only do they have their own souvenirs, but they also have house-warming and last-minute gifts. My mom purchased a huge coffee mug, and she still uses it all the time. It is so fun walking around and looking at everything they have to offer. 

Buc-ee’s has items for customers of all ages, and that is why people are so drawn to it. By 2028, Indiana hopes to bring the Southern gas station superstore to the Midwest. A Buc-ee’s trip will no longer happen once a year on the way to the beach, but can be a weekly trip for yummy snacks and cheap gas.
