More Than Burgers beats expectations and lives up to its name.
The new restaurant made its debut in Greenwood on Feb. 7, taking the spot where TGI Fridays formally was in the mall. Due to its location, after eating is a perfect time to look around the mall. Some items on the menu include burgers, pasta, seafood, chicken, and dessert.
I went to More Than Burgers with two of my friends. Overall, our meals cost about $50 total, making the restaurant a bit pricey. The spicy chicken burger was around $18, while the normal fried chicken burger was about $14. Although it is on the expensive side, I believe that it is worth the money.
I ordered a spicy chicken burger that came with bacon, spicy mayo, mild sauce, and some vegetables. It was flavorful, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Every burger ordered comes with a side of fries, and they were my favorite part of the meal. I liked the fries because they were thin and evened out the spiciness of the chicken. Everything came out hot and crispy.
Most burger places can be rowdy, but More Than Burgers was dimly lit, making the place feel cozy and relaxing. There were photos of the food lining the walls, giving guests an idea of what they could get on the menu. Another beautiful decoration was a flowerwall with the name engraved on it. Music was playing that also added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The waitress took our drink orders and brought them to us quickly. She checked on us often but gave us as much time as we needed to look over the menu. Once we ordered, she gave us updates on how long it would be until it came out. There were not many people in the restaurant so it took less than 15 minutes for our food to be ready.
Overall, my experience at More Than Burgers was great and definitely made me want to return to try something new.
