Valle Vista Golf Club review

Less than 10 minutes from GHS, Valle Vista Golf Club sits as the one of two par 72 courses in Greenwood.

The multipurpose facility does not only support the likes of golfers, it is a wedding venue, a conference center, and has a salon in the basement.

One notable aspect of the course is the involvement in the community. Valle Vista hosts many golf outings each year, such as the Little League golf outing and the Greenwood Football golf outing. At these golf outings, there is a full treatment, including a cart girl with free beverages and a meal following the round of golf.

The normal price for a round is a little under $40 to play 18 holes on a weekend and $30 on a weekday. Valle Vista does offer a student discount of only $25 for 18 holes. The 9 hole and twilight pricing is $20.

The course is situated in the middle of the Valle Vista homes, apartments and duplexes. The neighborhood surrounding the course was made a while ago, so there are a lot of big trees on the course.

The course is very well kept. Covered head to toe with ponds and sand traps, the course has all of the qualities needed for a great golf course. It is evident Valle Vista employees take pride in the condition of the course. Almost always someone is out cutting the grass, tending to the greens, or picking up broken tees in the tee box. The clubhouse has many awesome employees, and the pro shop has a lot of nice bags, balls, clubs, and more. One of the pro shop employees is the step-father of junior Jahlen Burton golfer and coach of the GHS boys golf team. He always makes sure to ask us if we had a good time, how we played, and offers advice on how to up our game.

We played this course regularly. Brady had the best score by quite a bit. Dom and Alex were in a tight battle for second place. We had a good time at this course, and it was one of the courses we visited the most this past summer.
