Storming into the holiday season, Black Friday shopping is a good way to start off Christmas right.

A lot of people make Black Friday shopping a big deal.

“One time I was at the Edinburgh outlet mall for Black Friday shopping, and I saw a younger lady push a much older lady over the last pair of Nike Air Maxes. The younger lady yanked them out of the older lady’s hands and ran,” senior Kenna Hussung said.

Some people find Black Friday so important that they wake up extra early and get to their stores.

“My family and I wake up super early to go Black Friday shopping. We wake up at 5:30 a.m. and leave at 6 a.m., and we always end up getting back around 5 p.m. We also go shopping at Walmart  the day before,” sophomore Mattie Ramsey said.

Sophomore Ameera Brooks finds crazy deals while Black Friday shopping.

“I always find really good deals, I found a restored Macbook for $200, and I got my iphone for $100. My parents always find the best deals,” Brooks said.

Some people even go out of town for their  shopping like junior Destiny Smith 

“My whole family goes out of town to the Mall of America in Minnesota. We do this every year. It’s been a family tradition since I was little,” Smith said.

“I shop at the Greenwood mall. I go into American Eagle especially, one of my favorite places to go,” Brooks said.

To spotlight how this day is super important to a lot of people, including Hussung talked about her crazy wait time.

“At the Apple store, I waited almost five hours just to get one of the new Iphones because they had a crazy deal.It was 50 percent off, and the line was out the store at the Keystone Fashion Mall,” Hussung said.
