Student ranks the best & worst Easter candy

Student+ranks+the+best+%26+worst+Easter+candy

Candy companies often work double time to ensure new and creative flavors or packaging for candy during holidays. One of the most popular holidays is Easter, ranging from chocolate eggs to sculpted rabbits. I tried some candies and ranked them from best to worst Easter candies of 2024. In total, I bought eight different candies. They are split into the categories of chocolate and non-chocolate, and within those two categories, there will be two constants and a spontaneous buy. To help me out, I got my sister to try and rank these surprisingly delicious candies.

The first category we tried was chocolate. In this category, we first tried the caramel Cadbury eggs. We each tried one egg, and right off the bat, the packaging was sleek and cute but did not particularly represent the quintessential Easter colors, like pastel purple, yellow, or pink. They were a darker purple and gold, making them seem like a sophisticated snack for adults. Each egg had carvings in the chocolate, which looked fancy, giving my sister and me an excellent appeal. We tried it, and it was pretty good, not too dry, and had a good taste, so it was number 1 on our list of chocolate.

The following chocolate we tried was a traditional chocolate egg by a brand named Frankfort. The chocolate was extremely dense and dried my mouth out a little. It also had a cheap taste, but it brought a certain nostalgia about eating cheap chocolate during Easter egg hunts. By the same brand, we tried a traditional chocolate bunny. It was flavorless besides a sort of stale taste, which was pretty sad since the bunny is essentially a trademark of Easter. The following chocolate was just the traditional easter Hershey. It was in a cute box package, but other than that, it did not stand out at all.

Last in the chocolate category is the spontaneous item. We chose to go with lemon-flavored Kit Kats. At first, my sister and I thought they would be disgusting, but they honestly proved us wrong. They tasted pretty good with a good lemon flavor and a hint of white chocolate. I recommend them  to anyone who likes lemon cake, except the Kit Kats are substantially sweeter.

The first non-chocolate product we tried was jelly beans. They were in an adorable package that looked like a pastel candy bag. However, they could have been more tasty. We tried all the flavors in the package, which were not good. They kind of  tasted stale and way too sweet. The second non-chocolate was the Peeps bunnies. They were the original flavor, and they tasted pretty bland. Still, I am a texture person, and I love the texture of Peeps. The spontaneous item for the non-chocolate category was a giant Krabby Patty, a gummy burger. It came in a pack of three, and they were, personally, my favorite non-chocolate. They tasted very fruity and good  but not too sweet.

I do not recommend eating so much candy at once as I did; I still have a stomach ache. But, overall, with the candy choices, I was impressed with the outcome. I  think the best Easter candy of 2024 was the Cadbury eggs and the worst being the chocolate bunny.
