Luciana’s restaurant review

Enjoy the blissful flavors and the vibrant colors of Mexico at Luciana’s in Greenwood.

Luciana’s is a name that people do not often throw around when talking about their favorite restaurants in the area. Most of the time I hear Puerto Vallarta, Margaritas, or El Toro. Luciana’s is what I would like to call a hidden gem.

When my family first arrived at Luciana’s, we were greeted at the door by a nice young lady with a smile. There is nothing better than feeling welcome at a new place. We were then taken to an extremely comfortable booth with a view of the entire restaurant.

Not even 45 seconds into being sat, a lady came up to us with two baskets of chips and three bowls of salsa, one for each person. My family looked in the distance of the restaurant as we heard drums and maracas where they were celebrating a customer’s birthday. It was extremely fun to see everyone having a good time.

The waitress we had was super sweet and came back and asked us after we had ordered if someone would like to have chicken and steak in their quesadilla instead of just one for the same price. People who do not care do not come back to ask that question, so I could tell I was in a place that I would feel comfortable and cared for by the staff. We ordered our food and got it within 15-20 minutes, which was super fast.

The steam coming off of the food as they brought it out was so cool, and the guy who brought out the food had a giant oven mitt on so he would not burn himself as he brought out all the food along his arm. I ordered the five enchilada meal with queso on top instead of red sauce. It was probably the best plate of enchiladas I have ever had. It was everything I could want on a plate. There was cheese, beef, chicken, and two other enchiladas that I did not know what they were, but man those were so good. The cups they had given us for the drinks were humongous as well; there is nothing like a giant cup of Sprite at a Mexican restaurant. After we were all done eating and talking, the waitress came back and told us that she had taken one of the meals off of the bill because she knew it was our first time there.

This restaurant was an amazing experience and a 10/10 in my books
