Students put their winter clothes away and find ways to express themselves through their new, stylish spring fashion.

Stores are beginning to restock their clothes as the seasons change, and they display new and popular styles.

“Aeropostale has been selling a lot of our licensed products along with the popular baggy pants and jeans with crop tops,” Renee Thompson, Aeropostale manager, said.

The best and new style are cargo pants. They are comfortable and still stylish. 

“Cargo pants are definitely way more popular now. Everyone wears them whether they be regular cargo pants or cargo sweatpants,” junior Emma Holman, recently working at Rally House, said.

“Athletic wear becomes popular during this season even if it is not super fashionable. Many people come in just looking for new clothes to be able to be outside comfortably,” Thompson said.

Many people look for ways to expand their wardrobes without breaking the bank, and there are still many ways to stay in style without spending hundreds of dollars.

“A lot of our little crop tops and tank tops are inexpensive. There are also some cargo pants, 90’s baggy jeans, and parachute pants that have become very popular recently because they look nice and are cheaper,” Thompson said.

Vintage clothing has now been in style for the past few years. This has now drawn many vintage shops to Greenwood.

“I work at a vintage shop in the mall and we have been selling a lot of things in style recently. We still have a lot of our vintage shirts and pants out, but we also put out our vintage crewnecks for the spring time for people to go outside in,” senior Brayleigh Grable, Indy’s Finest Vintage worker, said.

Some people prefer to go big with their new styles. There are many popular big brands that are more expensive but definitely worth it.

“I have been seeing a lot of people wearing Essential hoodies, and that will probably be the next thing I buy,” Holman said.

Spring is a great time to go outside and enjoy the sun and it is important to still look and feel good while doing this. 

“I love wearing my oversize clothes, especially the vintage stuff I get from my work. They are just comfortable to be in when it is warm outside,” Grable said.
