Reporter raves about Cafe Euclid downtown

Reporter+raves+about+Cafe+Euclid+downtown

A couple of months ago, Greenwood gained a new coffee shop.

Cafe Euclid has a variety of food and drink options made by amazing workers. Over the summer, I went there for a Student Council president’s meeting and had the blueberry muffin with lemonade. The blueberry muffin was a big muffin compared to the regular store bought muffins, and it tasted delicious. It had sugar sprinkled on top of it and was very soft.

The lemonade was also very good. What I liked about the lemonade was that it was not too sweet. It was not like other lemonades I had at other coffee shops where the lemonade is so sweet that I could not enjoy the drink. Their lemonade, however, was evenly proportioned, at least for me, and I enjoyed it very much. The muffin and the lemonade in total cost me $7. Considering the size of the muffin and the good lemonade, I think this was a reasonable price. I know that for some people $7 can be a lot for a muffin and a lemonade, but for me, it was worth it, and I will definitely spend more money there again.

Cafe Euclid has nice employees. I was there with nine other Student Council members and all of us could not sit at one table. The employees allowed us to move tables around so we could all sit at the same table. Since they close at 2 p.m. and our Student Council meeting was still going on, the workers let us sit on the tables in the front porch which was nice.

The second time I went to Cafe Euclid, I had their French vanilla latte. It was not the best French vanilla latte I have had but it was not bad. I’m not a big coffee drinker so when I do drink coffee it is usually filled with milk and sweetener, but the one I had here was not. Though, I would definitely recommend those who drink coffee regularly to try their coffees.

Although there were a lot of things I liked about Cafe Euclid, there was one part that I do not like and that is their hours. Cafe Euclid closes at 2 p.m. every day, and that is really unfortunate for some people. Personally, I cannot go there during the weekdays because I do not get out of school until 2:30 p.m., and I cannot go in the mornings either because then I will be late for school. This really makes it hard for me to go there because I always crave them during school hours but cannot even go after school. Despite their uncommon hours, I will definitely go to Cafe Euclid a second and a third time. Cafe Euclid is located at 357 Euclid Ave, Greenwood, IN 46142, and is open from 6:30-2 p.m. on weekdays, 7:30-2 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8-2 p.m. on Sundays.
